Welcome to PaleoThreads. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using paleothreads.com and buying our products. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by PaleoThreads, Via Bustigatti 17, 24042 Capriate San Gervasio (BG), Italy. Email: sales@paleothreads.com. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean PaleoThreads, and "you" means anyone who visits the site or buys from us.

2. Our products

PaleoThreads sells apparel printed with original paleoart from our Deep Time Atlas series. Every item is printed on demand by our production partner after you order. We work hard to show colors and designs accurately, but screens differ, and small variations in print placement and color between the photo and the finished garment are normal for made-to-order printing. Scientific descriptions are written in good faith based on current fossil evidence; paleontology evolves, and they are provided for enjoyment and education.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars unless you select another currency. Shipping costs and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment partners; we never see or store your full card details.
If a price is clearly wrong because of an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after confirmation.

4. Orders

When you place an order, you receive an email acknowledging it. A contract is formed when we confirm the order and accept your payment. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example in case of suspected fraud, unavailable products or pricing errors; if we do, we refund any amount you paid. You must be at least the age of majority in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to place an order.

5. Shipping and delivery

Production and delivery times are estimates and are described in our Shipping Policy. Risk of loss passes to you when the order is delivered to the address you gave us.

6. Returns, refunds and your legal rights

Our Return & Refund Policy explains what happens if an item is damaged, defective or wrong, and how EU and UK customers can use their 14-day right of withdrawal. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.

7. Intellectual property

All artwork, designs, plate illustrations, text, logos and photos on this site are owned by or licensed to PaleoThreads and are protected by copyright and other laws. Buying a product gives you the right to own and wear it; it does not give you the right to copy, reproduce, resell the artwork or use it commercially. Please ask us first if you would like to share our art beyond personal social-media posts.

8. Using the site

You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its security or operation, to scrape it in bulk, or to submit false information. Product reviews and messages you send must be honest and must not be offensive or infringe anyone's rights.

9. Third-party services

The site runs on Shopify and may link to third-party services (such as payment providers and carriers). Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content.

10. Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where that would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights regarding faulty goods.

11. Privacy

How we collect and use your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. Before taking any formal step, please contact us at sales@paleothreads.com; most issues are solved quickly by email.
