- Where fossils are found: Mongolia & northern China
- Group: Ceratopsians
- Setting in the art: Conifers, ferns, cycads and some of the first flowering plants; grasses were rare and there were no grasslands
- What the fossils tell us: Bristles and countershading known from one Psittacosaurus specimen from Liaoning
